Scorch! Brolt!

Scorch Trio's new album "Brolt" is out. It's on Rune Grammofon both as CD and double vinyl album (with more than 30 minutes extra music compared to the CD). The trio is (as usual): Raol Björkenheim (g), Ingebrigt Håker Flaten (b) and Paal Nilssen-Love (dr). While Kim Hiorthøy made a detailed (and very nice!) cover for "Luggumt", he keeps it minimalistic this time. The titles are local Norwegian dialect words, so don't worry, a lot of us are wondering too ("Basjen", "Hys", "Graps", "Rått og Råde" etc). And the music is energetic and noisy as usual! My guess is that I will seldom listen to all of it one go, but that's OK. My favourite so far is "Gaba", where Bjørkenheim is probably playing "Viola Da Gimbri", whatever that is. Hard working trio!
